Yvonne is currently the Director – Training and Coaching at Kazi Services Ltd. She joined this team following the merger of Kazi Services Ltd and CoachingCulture in August 2010. More than 20 years of Senior Management experience in Africa and Europe enables Yvonne to infuse the learning environment with diverse experiences, humour and a deep understanding of the practical challenges of managing and leading people.
After her early working years were spent in banking, Yvonne remained in the Credit Management field and held senior management positions in diverse sectors like Mining, Manufacturing, and Retail. In 2000, the love of developing her staff eventually led her into full time management development work. For the next 6 years she worked with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in the UK as a Management Trainer and Leadership Coach on their award winning Leadership Programme.
Founding CoachingCulture Ltd in 2006 , Yvonne joined the UK Government’s Centre for Strategic Leadership as an Associate, where she coached Senior Civil Servants as part of various Leadership Development Programs. In December 2006 Yvonne began working with various large organisations in East Africa. Now based fulltime in Dar es Salaam Yvonne’s current & recent assignments include ongoing one2one Leadership Coaching at Vodacom, Coaching Skills for Managers at NBC, a Management Development Programme for managers of Coca Cola Sabco, culture change at Real Insurance, Team Development for Plan International and a Leadership Development Programme for Songas.
Yvonne is also committed to developing young leaders in East Africa. She is on the Board of Advisors for AIESEC ( www.aiesec.org/tanzania), and regularly does voluntary work with the students of Higher Learning Institutes in Tanzania.
Coming from a strong business background means that, to Yvonne, Management Development is about creating learning and skills that managers can implement easily & readily thus delivering value to their organisations the moment they get back to work. As an experienced Certified European NLP Coach Yvonne’s workshops are far more like coaching than training. She shares her knowledge and business psychology with participants, and then works with them to find how to make this applicable in their own situations, taking into account their individual personality profile (MBTI) and using NLP to help them overcome individual limiting beliefs and barriers.
