Zuhura S. Muro is currently the Managing Director and founding shareholder of Kazi Services Limited. Zuhura has rich experience in strategic management, leadership development, developing human resources solutions. She also has hands on experience in organizational development, institutional review, strategic planning, and specialized corporate training services. She has more than 15 years experience in managing consultants’ team tracing back to 1996 when she was the Director of Business Development Services of FAIDA consultancy firm under the Netherlands Development Organization.
Before founding her own consulting firm, she spent more that 6 years (2001 – 2007) with Celtel Tanzania Limited (now trading as Airtel) as the Head of Human Resources. During this period she built the Human Resources Department from scratch to a strong and credible business partner. She also provided support to other companies operating under the then Celtel International Group; Mobitel Sudan 2004-2005 and Celtel Uganda in building the capacity of HR team.
Zuhura has carried out specialized management and HR consultancy projects, designed and delivered leadership development programmes, facilitated high level brainstorming and strategic planning sessions for clients in public and non government organizations and designed and delivered leadership training mainly for private businesses. Zuhura is also a motivational speaker.
In 1986, Mrs. Muro graduated from the University of Dar es Salaam with a Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences) degree. Other post graduate training includes; Certificate in General Management Programme at Wits Business School of South Africa, Certificate, Diploma, Designing, Operating & Managing Support Institutions & Services for SMEs Development, ILO, Turin, Italy and Certificate in Labour Laws Application.
Zuhura is one of the founding trustees of Africa Leadership Initiative –East Africa Foundation www.ali-ea-foundation.net (ALI-EAF) and is currently serving as its Board Secretary. She also serves as a board Chairperson of Mwananchi Communication Limited www.mwananchi.co.tz , Board Member of Nation Media Group www.nationmedia.com , Shareholder and Board Secretary of Arusha Modern Schools Limited She is a fellow of Aspen Global Leadership Network www.aspeninstitute.org involved in developing the already successful young leaders to move from success to significance.
Zuhura is married, lives in Dar es Salaam and runs businesses both in Dar es Salaam and Arusha.
